As we grow old, we observe more of this world and the more we see the better we detect patterns within the human behavior system, and it always come to a point where we can effectively classify different groups of people based on a generalized system of attributes.
For me, humans can be generally categorized into four major groups, and two minor groups. The aim of this article is not to examine the minority, seeking instead of address the majority of humans who are generally ignorant, does not self-monitor and are basically unaware of their own foolishness.
So what are the four groups?
The Choatic Group Who Loves Change
People in this group are identified with several common attributes, and amongst them are the love for unsettling others and generally making other people’s lives unbearable around them. They love to change things, and embrace unpredictability as the truth of life, and thus strive consciously or subconsciously to change things for the worse.
These people are dangerous individuals, lacking common moral sensibilities, and if not checked and given authoritative powers would bring suffering and doom to whatever that comes in contact with them, in varying degrees of magnitude.
The Chaotic Group Who Loathes Change
Next up, are the people that are similar to the group above, but unlike them they are afraid of change. Being self-obsessed and self-centered, these people tend to whine the most - they complain about everything, being unsatisfied with seemingly every single thing, and keep on blaming others for their own misfortunes. Again, this behavior can manifest consciously or unconsciously, with the latter being much more common.
These people are generally passive and needy, preferring to cling onto others and follow the lead of whoever that seems convenient at that time. However, due to their negative nature, they almost always cause un-needed stress to those who take the extra step to take care of them. They are generally unappreciative, ignorant, and live in sorrow for the greater part of their lives.
The Peaceful Group Who Loathes Change
The contradiction of the above group, the peaceful group who loathes changes are generally traditionalist and conservatives. They pick a moral checkpoint and hold onto it like a barnacle upon rock, and detest anything that does not fit into their world view. However, unlike the chaotic group, they tend to keep their troubles for themselves, often venting their anger when nobody is around or when surrounded by their peers.
People of this group loath any change in various degrees, from ultra-traditionalists to semi-conformists, and some choose to be ignorant or choose not to interfere in other’s mentality, often stating that what others think are their own responsibilities and their own freedom.
The Peaceful Group Who Loves Change
This group is the polar opposite of the first group mentioned, and these are at an extreme minority compared to the rest of the people of populates the other groups. These are natural leaders - matured people with matured thinking who prefers a peaceful solution to everything, taking into account the woes of different contrasting groups and often choose a compromise over a solution that benefits one group but damages another.
They actively strive to make the world a better place, which may or may not be a good thing depending on their own definition of peace and good. They believe their intentions to be good and ultimately beneficial to those that they subject their ideologies to.
Which Group Are You?
Having mentioned the four major groups, I might as well polarize humanity into good and evil, and amongst the two extremes further divide them into activists and passives. Most of us fall in between these groups depending on situations, but most of us lean towards one group or another assuming that we do not actively pursue to make ourselves better.
Which is the entire point of this article, come to think of it. If we do not change ourselves for the better as time goes by, we risk categorizing ourselves into easily defined boundaries that makes us predictable and above all, shallow. Being a human doesn’t mean we get to enjoy our whole lives. Those who do so risk losing perspective of what life is all about, and those who realize it but do nothing about it risk regretting their ignorance and hedonism on their last breaths.
So what kind of a human are you?
